Jeunes diplômés au Sénégal : à la recherche d’un emploi stable et d’un management collaboratif

JA est allé à la rencontre des étudiants sénégalais des grandes écoles, pour recueillir leurs attentes sur leurs futurs employeurs.

Pour Anna Nicole – 22 ans, un diplôme de technicienne en poche et deux stages au compteur –, l’entrée dans la vie active sera un combat pour « la sécurité de l’emploi ». À moins de deux ans de l’obtention de son diplôme d’ingénieure en télécoms et réseaux à l’École supérieure polytechnique de Dakar, la jeune femme ne se fait pas d’illusions : « Dans mon secteur, les employeurs offrent surtout des contrats temporaires. Si c’est le cas pour moi, je reprendrai mes études afin de me spécialiser davantage et d’avoir plus de chances d’obtenir un CDI. »

Si pour elle la sécurité d’un contrat de longue durée prime sur le montant du salaire proposé, l’étudiante aspire à pouvoir gravir les échelons au sein de sa future entreprise. Un point de vue que partage Raymond Cyril, 20 ans, en première année de master en marketing digital à l’Institut supérieur de management (ISM) de Dakar.

Autonomie

« Même pour un revenu de base élevé, je ne veux surtout pas d’un poste qui m’enfermerait dans une routine sans possibilité d’évolution. » Plus serein que son aînée polytechnicienne, le Dakarois est certain de trouver facilement du travail dans le secteur de la communication et du design. « Le nombre d’entrepreneurs augmente beaucoup au Sénégal. Toutes les sociétés ont besoin d’un logo, d’une identité de marque, et donc de communicants comme moi. »

Si la première se voit bien dans un grand groupe local comme la Sonatel, où elle a déjà fait un stage, le second préfère « le challenge d’une start-up locale ». Mais tous deux espèrent un management flexible, pour plus d’autonomie. « Je recherche un cadre de travail plus collaboratif que contraignant. Quand on est plus libre, on est plus productif », affirme Raymond Cyril.
