L’Université virtuelle de Côte d’Ivoire lance sa plateforme de Moocs

Conçue en partenariat avec l’Agence universitaire de la francophonie et France université numérique, la plateforme de Moocs de l’UVCI diffuse déjà neuf cours en ligne.

Près de deux ans après le lancement du projet, la plateforme de Moocs (Massive open online courses) de l’Université virtuelle de Côte d’Ivoire (UVCI) a été officiellement lancée mi-décembre par des représentants du ministère ivoirien de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche scientifique, de l’ambassade de France en Côte d’Ivoire, et par Tiemoman Kone, directeur général de l’UVCI ainsi que des responsables de France université numérique (FUN) et de l’Agence universitaire de la francophonie (AUF).

Neuf cours en ligne

Les neuf premiers cours en ligne balayent divers sujets comme le traitement des eaux, la bio-informatique ou les nouveaux médias. Certains nécessitent quelques prérequis. Ouverts à tous et accessibles gratuitement, les contenus ont été conçus par des professeurs ivoiriens et produits localement grâce au studio d’enregistrement construit à cet effet au sein de l’Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny d’Abidjan. Ils sont hébergés sur une plateforme autonome développée en partenariat avec la plateforme FUN et l’AUF.

Dix nouveaux cours supplémentaires seront disponibles en 2019. En parallèle, l’Université de Cergy-Pontoise accompagne la formation d’ingénieurs dédiés à la conception des futurs Moocs.

This is a demanding and non-remunerated role; expected time commitment of up to 30%.

The Africa CDC is Africa’s first continent-wide public health entity and envisions a safer, healthier, integrated, and stronger Africa, where the Member States are capable of effectively responding to outbreaks of infectious diseases and other public health threats. Administratively, Africa CDC is designed to operate a decentralized model that allows it to work with National Public Health Institutes (NPHIs) of AU Member States, through five Regional Collaborating Centers located in Egypt, Gabon, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia, for the Northern Africa, Central Africa, Eastern Africa, Western Africa, and Southern Africa regions respectively.
