Le classement des villes africaines où les expatriés vivent le mieux selon Mercer

Plus de 40 villes africaines figurent au dernier classement de l’entreprise américaine Mercer sur la qualité de vie dans le monde. Découvrez celles où l’expatriation se passe le mieux.

Le climat clément, l’accès au soin, la sécurité mais aussi l’environnement sociopolitique et le dynamisme économique font de Port-Louis, à l’Île Maurice, la ville la plus agréable du continent. C’est du moins ce que concluent les experts de Mercer, spécialisé dans le conseil aux entreprises, dans leur dernier classement mondial sur la qualité de vie dans 231 villes dans le monde réalisé à partir de données récoltées en novembre 2017. L’étude qui est réalisée tous les ans depuis 1994, est un bon indice de l’attractivité d’une ville pour les profils en quête d’expatriation ou les membres de la diaspora tentés par un retour. Elle prend en compte 39 variables regroupées dans dix catégories comme l’offre en matière de divertissements, d’établissements d’enseignement et d’éducation, le logement ou les services de transport ou encore l’environnement naturel.

Trois métropoles d’Afrique du Sud

Cette année, 44 agglomérations africaines figurent au classement 2018. À l’échelon continental, le top 10 est identique à celui de 2017. C’est l’Afrique du Sud qui truste le podium avec trois villes figurant au haut du classement continental : Durban est à la seconde place, Le Cap à la troisième et Johannesburg à la quatrième.

Le Maghreb bien classé

Les pays du Maghreb obtiennent eux aussi de bons résultats : Tunis (6ème et 114ème au niveau mondial), Rabat (7ème) et Casablanca (8ème) figurent ainsi au top 10 continental, tandis que Le Caire (15ème) perd une place et qu’Alger (19ème) en gagne une par rapport à 2017.

L’Europe en tête du classement mondial

Au classement général en revanche, les villes du continent ont encore des progrès à faire par rapport à leur concurrentes européennes. Treize de ces dernières figurent dans les vingt premières places du palmarès mondial. Vienne, Zurich et la Néo zélandaise Auckland forment le trio de tête. De leur côté, seules six métropoles africaines se situent dans la moitié haute. Port-Louis est ainsi 83ème, Durban 89ème et Le Cap 94ème. Mais Dakar, Alger ou Abibdjan sont respectivement 163ème, 184ème et 208ème.
