En Tunisie, des écoles du web pour contrer le chômage

Parmi les pays les plus connecté du continent africain, la Tunisie voit se multiplier les formations aux métiers du numérique. Selon ces écoles, le secteur est l'un des leviers à exploiter pour enrayer le chômage des jeunes.

La Tunisie est un des pays les plus connecté du continent africain. Il figure au cinquième rang des pays africains les mieux équipés en termes d’infrastructure selon le Network readiness index (NRI) du Forum économique mondial. Son secteur numérique représente 7,2 % de son PIB, autant que le tourisme et l’agriculture. Et le pays attire nombre d’entreprises souhaitant délocaliser leurs plateformes techniques.

Une pédagogie commune

Dans ce contexte, les besoins en profils techniques augmentent et les écoles dédiées au métiers du numérique poussent comme des champignons. C’est le cas de la 3W Academy, dernière en date à avoir ouvert à Tunis, fin décembre 2017. Créée en 2012 en France par Djamchid Dalili, l’école propose le même type de formation que ses concurrentes tunisiennes WeCode Land et GoMyCode. Au menu, sept heures de cours par jour, du lundi au vendredi pendant trois mois, des promotions de quinze personnes réunies dans une salle équipée en conséquence, des journées rythmées par des travaux pratiques durant lesquels les notions théoriques sont abordées au fur et à mesure des questions de chacun. Le tout est supervisé par une équipe de développeurs formés à guider les élèves afin qu’ils sachent trouver les réponses par eux mêmes, sur la toile.

Un objectif : l’emploi

En plus d’appliquer la même méthode d’enseignement, les trois écoles partagent la même ambition, celle de former des talents pour des métiers qui recrutent. “Un grand nombre d’école et d’université préparent à des métiers qui n’existent plus”, déplore Wala Kasmi. Un avis que partage le fondateur de 3W Academy. Selon lui, la grande majorité des ingénieurs informatiques sortent diplômés de leur école sans jamais avoir écrit une seule ligne de code.

Djmachid Dalili et ses homologues en sont convaincus, le numérique est l’une des réponse au chômage qui touche en priorité la jeunesse. Et il y a urgence, car selon les chiffres du gouvernement, 32 % des jeunes diplômés tunisiens de l’enseignement supérieur sont sans emploi. C’est même plus pour la Banque Mondiale, qui estime ce taux à plus de 40 %.

Des prix variés

Mais cette jeunesse au chômage a-t-elle vraiment les moyens de s’offrir ces formations ? À la 3W Academy, il faut débourser 3 600 dinars (1 212 euros) pour les 3 mois de cursus. Un prix exorbitant dans un pays où le salaire minimum mensuel est d’environ 357 dinars. Mais son fondateur se veut rassurant : “Nous travaillons à proposer nos formations à des prix plus abordables”.

À 600 dinars (201 euros), GoMyCode est plus accessible. Et son jeune fondateur de 21 ans, Yahya Bouhlel, propose l’accès à des bourses d’études. De son côté, WeCode Land, fonctionne avec des parrainages d’entreprises qui financent les 700 euros de la formation. D’autres s’adressent à des organismes de microcrédit partenaires de l’école pour obtenir un prêt étudiant. Wala Kasmi l’assure, la majorité de ceux-là remboursent leur emprunt plus vite que prévu.
